LED lighting shows a new environment for health and environmental protection

As the times have grown and the living environment has become more diverse, people’s environmental awareness has risen unprecedentedly, and this concept has permeated every detail of life. When choosing lamps, energy saving, environmental protection, and appearance have become the three major elements of selection. LED lamps are exactly the lamps that can meet the above requirements at the same time.

LED is a kind of semiconductor solid-state light-emitting device: It has the advantages of small size, light weight, high brightness, low energy consumption, long life, high safety, high color purity, good directionality, low maintenance cost, and no environmental pollution.

LED lighting is a kind of green light source: low working voltage, low power consumption, stable performance, long service life (usually 100,000 hours), strong resistance to shock and vibration, LED lighting products can provide a high-quality light environment and improve The luminous efficiency of the lighting system, no infrared and ultraviolet components, high color rendering (above 80RA) and strong directionality; good dimming performance, no visual error when the color temperature changes, low calorific value of the cold light source, Can be touched safely; improve glare, reduce and eliminate light pollution. Zero strobe does not cause eye fatigue. No electromagnetic radiation, to prevent radiation pollution to protect the brain. It not only provides comfortable lighting space, but also satisfies people's physiological health requirements. It is an environmentally friendly and healthy light source. Long-term use can protect eyesight and prevent myopia.

When selecting lamps, high quality light sources are the basis of green lighting. High-quality light sources should have the following three characteristics.

First, there should be no ultraviolet light and infrared light in the spectral components. Excessive exposure to ultraviolet light for a long period of time not only causes keratitis, but also damages the lens, retina, choroid, etc. Infrared light is easily absorbed by water. Excessive infrared light is absorbed in large quantities by the lens of the human eye, and the lens will degenerate over time, resulting in cataract.

Second, the color temperature of light should be close to natural light. People live in natural light for a long time. The human eye has strong adaptability to natural light and good visual effects.

Third, the lights are flashless. The frequency of power supply for ordinary fluorescent lamps is 50 Hz, which means that they emit light 100 times per second, which is a low-frequency flash, which can cause the adjustment organs of the human eye to be in a state of intense adjustment, leading to visual fatigue. If the frequency at which light is emitted increases to several hundred or more tens of thousands of Hertz—becomes at a high frequency, the human eye will not have a strobe sensation; but the true strobe-free is a DC power supply or a semiconductor solid light emitting device (such as an LED light emitting diode). ) The emitted light is called a flashless flash.
