LED lighting industry can develop the next "golden decade"

In the past ten years, the lighting industry has gradually turned into an era of LED lighting and the market has seen explosive growth. It can be said that this is the “golden decade” for LED lighting industry. However, the current global economic recovery is slow, market demand is weak, and the domestic economy is also slowing down. The sluggish market demand, the development speed of the lighting-related real estate market fell sharply, the price of LED products dropped, and the overcapacity... In such a “dug” market environment, people had to raise doubts and look forward to the next decade. LED lighting industry's "golden decade"?

Looking back over the past ten years, it is the 10 years that the domestic LED industry has really developed. It can be said that from the economic environment, industrial policies, market demand, product technology upgrades, etc., can properly bring about a significant role in promoting the development of the LED lighting industry. Whether it is large-scale or listed companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, or even small workshops, they can all obtain better market opportunities because of excessive market demand, from incandescent lamps to energy-saving lamps, to LED lamps, technology upgrades and product applications. The replacement has stimulated huge market demand and potential and created a booming LED industry.

In terms of policies, in order to support the development of LED and semiconductor lighting industry, the relevant ministries and commissions of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology have given long-term support in areas such as technological innovation, technology upgrading, and promotion and application. At the same time, governments and institutions at all levels have supported the LED industry, and they have shifted from investment support to market application and promotion. LED and semiconductor lighting as a key content are listed in the seven strategic emerging industry plans that the country proposes to cultivate.

In 2003, the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly launched the "National Semiconductor Lighting Project." The domestic LED output value was only 9 billion yuan. By 2013, the six ministries and commissions of the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "Semiconductor Lighting Energy-Saving Industry Plan." At this time, the chips were built from scratch. The localization rate has been rising year by year, and the localization rate has exceeded 75% in that year. In 2014, the scale of China's LED industry reached 360.6 billion yuan, an increase of 40% from the 256.7 billion yuan in 2013, and maintained high-speed growth for three consecutive years. From 2003 to 2014, the average annual growth rate of LED output was 39% over the past 11 years.
